绿卡求教

最近公司开始给办绿卡。我本想办EB1，但律师说公司统一都先办PERM，EB2，理由是现在EB2排期只比EB1慢6个月，而EB1要准备推荐信和好多材料，时间差不多。JM们有什么经验吗？

Go for EB1 if possible. Although there is only 6 months difference, I have a feeling that EB1 will become current in no time, but nobody can predict the EB2 cases.

Many thanks! I have to fight for EB1 since our company's policy is to start EB2 for everyone first. And I'm afraid that my publications are not strong enough.

EB1的CASE好像比较难办成。要是不成，怎么办呢？还是让律师办一个比较有把握的吧。

I suggest you go safer ways. Nowadays it is very risky to go for EB1, I know several people got denied. Even my friend who is a professor in a top university and has a lot of papers filed EB2.

终于给律师（小秘？）打通了电话。她说可以同时file EB1 and EB2，不过我们公司原则上一次只办一种。由于我跟VP谈了绿卡的事，VP可能找了HR，律师还是把EB1的evaluation form和check list给了我，让我先填表看看够不够条件。JM们加油，我发现好象叫的响的鸟有虫吃 [em15]

不过偶的paper太少了（要不我去年就去找acadamia job了），最好的一篇要今年8月才发出来，引用很少。不过偶通常是那个被撑死的傻大胆 [em11]

，我会尽量两个都试试的。
