Sounds like you have done your part to show your interest. Right now you just have to wait for a response. Most company will give you an answer no matter what, but there are some that won't bother to get back to you if they are not interested.

All the good things they said about you don't necessary mean anything, not until they get back to you. Good luck, and don't just wait on these two companies, try something else at the same time.

It depends on whether or not they're really looking for people. Sometimes companies might not have an immediate need to hire people, but keep on going to career fairs just in case there are really good people available. I don't want to bring down your hopes, usually we tend to be more polite at career fairs, i.e., more praises. Then when we get back, we'll look through all the resumes and depending on how urgent we need the person, we'll make a decision to contact the person.
