Hey, now I'm reading this 'Please understand me' by Keirsey. Such an interesting small book.

I could not help smiling when reading the part describing my type--it's so true.

Truningleaf, want some discussion? Can you tell what typpe I am? I'll tell what your type I think is if you guess right... :P

It's very suprising about the accuracy, at least to me.

See, the statistical result IS quite reliable.

but, my type is only about 1% of the population. :(

It would be helpful since in the book it points out the management style, the characteristic about handling the social issues, etc. bacially, know better about ourselves,maybe others too.

you know, a person can have multiple sides. I guess the test only tells "current" major side. It can change with time. I also believe that on purpose enhancement/training on some minor sides could strenthen it.

The test may not be directly related with working.

But the book does talk about how different types of poeple lead

and react. I think that it's important to learn how to lead

others, how to meet manager's expect, how to understand and be understanable

by colleagues, and how to make interviewee/interviewer feel comfortable...

Totally agree. I acturally tried to enhance some sides thinking that it will help my career goal.

Bingo! I am T and J. But to determine which major type (NF, NT, SP, SJ), you have to

tell if I am N or S. Keep gussing... ;)

//admire, admire, how do you knwo ah? I can guess she is a "T" but hard to guess about "J" from the few posts I remember.

when I had this test with HR, the report I got showed not only my type, but "how much this is your type".

eg. someone could be 80%N, 20%S; 55%E, 45%I. so we say he is a typical N and a borderline E.

I cannot input Chinese -- most ppl (including myself) are reluctant reading English/Chinlish... :P

I self-tested myself and believe that I am currently:

50/50 E/I, 0/100 S/N, 70/30 T/F, 90/10 J/P

I have improved T, believing that it helps me for my career. The first step I took

is that I promised my husband not to bring bad mood from work to home, and I did it!

I want to improve S (I don't care experience at all and trust too much on logic--

that's not good sometimes), and P

(I'm too judgemental a lot of times, that will damage my ability of innovation).

I think that 50/50 E/I is good, as long as it's in my control.

hehe, I got the 'N' right:) but I don't know how hotrock got the 'J'

anyway, congras mm, since you've almost got the type that is promoted most by the society of US
