Proper etiquette is to have sent thank you cards within 6 months.  Of course, you can send them as soon as you want.  I started to send some for gifts I received before the wedding to lessen the burden afterwards.  Since we are taking a month long honeymoon, the rest of the cards won't be done until two month after the wedding...
