The most commen expression is 'he/she is mixed'. or to say they are bi-racial. There's a special term for black/white mixed people: mulatto.

I asked an American girl majoring in creative writing, she told me generally in English it is Asian-American, African-American, Asian-African ; or say mixed race.But the first one is more popular.
