I need a shower curtain that's 46 inch wide. But those sold in stores are either 36 or 72. Can I buy a 72 inch one then cut it?

if this is made of fabric, probably it can dry up easiliy?
i used to have an inner plastic linen for my fabric shower curtain,
but that one gets dirty pretty easily,
so i use just the outer layer now, and it works fine

you can cut it, but have stitch the side, otherwise...
