想买个缝纫机，但不知道应挑选什么样的。美国的缝纫机都是电动的？在哪买？多少钱范围？

在wal-mart看到过，$90~$200都有，都是电动的，
我买了个最简单的100不到，无奈手艺太差，在国内从来就不会，结果还是退了

co-ask,我最近也琢么着买个sewing machine，就在 wal-mat看了看，有没有高人指点一下买什么牌子的？大概多少钱的比较合算？

好象有个名牌叫Singer，在Amzaon见过。

Singer？wal-mart就有啊。还有brother.

看你需要什么功能了,如果只是 general 的,会便宜一点~
如果要带上电脑绣花的, 锁钮口眼的, 锁边....很贵的~
牌子吗, 多数是 singer, brother, 或者还有一些公司自己的品牌机.

我有一台singer的. sewing machine 我觉得 $100~$150 的比较合适, 太便宜的不好, 太贵的function 用不到. 我的是在 meijer 买的, 很好用的, 都3年了, 没出过问题, 立了不少功劳呀.在买现在的机子之前,我在walmart买过一台brother的,但不好用,就退了. 如果你不做很fancy的东西的话,20多个function的足够了,如果你要很多功能的,joann里有卖. 我的那个在很多店里都有,
在 amazon 也有的卖: singer 132 featherweight

缝纫机那么小是不是放在任何一个桌子上就可以用了？还有“绣花”英文怎么说？

stitch数目是说它能砸出多少种不同的针线。。。
比如一长一短啦。。。之类的。。。
你如果一般的搞一搞。。。一百块钱左右的就行了。。。
去ebay可以更便宜。。。
否则的话，yard sale买台旧的也可以
缝纫机的寿命非常长。。。
我以前landloard七十几岁了。。。用的缝纫机是她年轻的时候yard sale买的。。。
最后。。。还有手提缝纫机。。。handheld sewing machine,
很便宜。。。不过不太好用。。。
我妈花了一年多，前一阵子才告诉我他figure out了为什么那个总是脱线。。。

it only has one function: sewing the seam, hehe
But I wish I bought one with the function of "锁边", it is a very important function for working with many fabrics.

不过改天就退了，因为在hsn上花15块钱能买一个一样的
非常简单，不过我只是买来玩玩

说得我也好心动呀。昨晚上还自己手缝缩裤腰呢，呵呵，累死了，不过很好玩。
