知道有信用卡升级一说，比如要求升级到同一个发卡机构的另一种更“实惠”或级别更高的卡，

我的问题是：一般过多久可以要求呢？

只要提出保留同一卡号，就能continue原来的信用记录么？记得credit report上是按自己拥有的所有卡来报告的。升级后会变成另一个卡，新开一个记录；还是算在原来的卡上啊？

我也想升级(CHASE),打客服电话去要求,回复说不能帮我改,只能重新申请.

My card is a Citi student dividend (7 months), and a AEX student blue card (about 2 years). I'll try it later.

call them ask increasing credit line six months after you first time use this card. It works for my many cards.

You can also increase your credit limit on line without a hard inquiry after every several months' using. Just check the link in your account after some time~

I just upgrade my AMEX blue for student card to AMEX clear card~ The change will be taken from my next billing cycle. Same account (card) number and credit limit.

On credit report, the card type is not shown. There're just credit card issurer and your account number for each card.

At first I wanted my card to be upgraded to the AMEX The Nest card. But I was told the AMEX The Knot/The Nest card can't be upgraded to. I can only apply for it. Probably because of its better benefits.

Many other cards can be the options instead. So I chose my second choice: Clear card, 1% reward, 0% APR on purchase for one year.
