Sales Tax holiday on books, clothing, footwear, and certain other products with a sale price of less than $50 and on school supplies that cost $10 or less per item.

MASSACHUSETTS
Aug. 13, 2005 (only)
All non-business sales at retail of single items of tangible personal property costing $2,500 or less are exempt from sales and use taxes. Shall not apply to the sale of telecommunications, gas, steam, electricity, motor vehicles, boats, meals, or any single item whose price is in excess of $2,500.

MISSOURI: Aug. 5-7, 2005
Certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the (2003) statute, will be exempt from sales tax for this time period only. On 5/25/05 House Bill 64 extended the sales tax holiday for 2005 and changed the dollar amount for qualifying computer software purchases from $200 to $350 and for personal computers from $2,000 to $3,050.

NORTH CAROLINA
Aug. 5-7, 2005
Sales tax exemption for certain items of tangible personal property sold between 12:01 A.M. on the first Friday in August and 11:59 P.M. the following Sunday. Clothing,footwear, and school supplies (of $100.00 or less per item) - sports and recreation equipment (of $50.00 or less per item) - and computers, computer supplies, and educational software (of $3,500.00or less per item) will be exempt.

SOUTH CAROLINA
Aug. 5-7, 2005
School-related items, clothing, computers and printers will be exempt from the state抯 5% sales and use tax and any additional local county sales tax. 2005 addendum to the Code of Laws, 1976 has passed relating to Sales Tax exemptions addition of Bed and Bath Linens to the eligible items exempt on tax free weekend.

TEXAS
Aug. 5-7, 2005
