Different state has different policy. Government always has small business consultant serving for public. You'd better consult with them to see the policy in your state. There are 3 types of company. Different type requires different process. For a self owned company, the process is very simple. Just give them your company's name, logo, address, phone number and a little process fee. That's all.

where can I find out the consultant information ah?

I can have a company logo and if later on, I need to sell product, I
can use a different logo for the product, like the brand, right?
