I want to install the second phone line in my bedroom in an apartment. The phone company says that I need to rewire the jack. But I don't know how. If the phone company sends someone to come and help, I will be charged $95. I want to save the money. I heard that the operation is very simply. I will appreciate if anyone can help with the operation of how to rewire the jack for the second phone line.

no clue. come on! $95, get a professional installation. plus you wire yourself, landlord may give you trouble if something happens.

增加一条线主要工作在室外电话箱那边跳线(是电讯局的事情不管你事)！进入室内其实你也不用什么rewire the jack啦！记得一条线的时候电话线用第2,3pin，两条线无非1，2，3，4 pin都用上！！

要省钱先买条支持两条line的电话线(1,2,3,4都有铜针的那种电话线，普通电话线只有2,3有针),一头插线盒然后中间把电话线剥开！电话那端用普通两pin的电话线一端插电话，一端同样电话线剥开！这样管他那个pin对应那个pin(不过好像是是2,3一组和1,4一组)线连上去有拨号音的就是了。。。。
