Climbed Mt. Washington in New Hamshire last weekend. It is said to have the worst weather condition in the world up there on the summit, but we're fortunate enough to survive. Tedious hiking: from 6am to 9pm, 15hrs of nonstopping climbing...near the summit trail is pretty steep--800 feet with 600 feet elevation...on the summit, we met a lot of people drove to the top or took the train...they thought we were mad, and actually that's our opinion about them too...
If you want any challenging hiking--go for it!

This is wonderful. 15 hrs is kind of over my limit, though.
