Is it too cold to go to any beach in north carolina now? I'm currently in the RTP area (raleigh), and I want to take a look at the seaside of NC, but due to time constraint I have to come back in the same day. What beach can I go to? Is Wilmington the only option available? And, is it too cold to be there at this time? Thanks a lot.

Low: 50° . Will that still be too cold?

Also, what about Charlotte? Is it possible to drive there and come back in the same day (from raleigh) and still have a few hours to see there? What are the most interesting places in Charlotte? thanks.
