[求助] Can I work now with...

...EAD (based on pending I-485) approved but I haven't get the card in the mail yet. Do I have to start working (for my first industry job) after I physically possess the card?

Any info regarding how long it would take to receive the real card from the approval date (Vermont Center)?

雇主会要求看这个卡吧。除非你有其他文件证明ＥＡＤ批了。

只有当你拿到这个卡了，才会让你开始工作把。因为你不确定工卡的开始日期具体是哪天。

应该一个星期左右就会收到

我记得的情形是，你可以到当地的移民办公室一类的地方申请个临时的EAD卡，不过我不是太确信，你可以给当地的移民办公室打个电话问问。

I found sometimes it is a few days different with the approval date. Not in my case, my friend's case. I think several weeks is the worst case... I know many people got the card in about a week.

I see... Just because I haven't been lucky in recent years, I tend to think everything (regarding visa and job) in the worst case:) Thanks for your info!
