Assuming same salary around 100K, which city do you think is better to live?

三番或者BOSTON工资100K和AUSTIN100K,考虑房价,可差远了吧.其实哪里有家,有朋友,都是好地方.ANYWAY.我投SF一票,嘻嘻

First thanks for everyone's vote and comment. Looks like many people like CA a lot. I like there too with its gorgeous weather and pretty/modern environment. However, I also concern about the skyflying housing cost and 9% state income tax as well as the 8% sales tax. That makes a lot of differences.

So far I still plan to go to CA, however this is really a big decision for me and really tough to make up my mind.

Any comment will be appreciated.

why nobody consider boulder at colorado?

Good palce to ski, hiking, cheap house compared to SF, sunshine all the year.

More votes for SF, can you share with me why you love SF so much? Do you concern about the unaffordable housing and high tax?

1,2 or 4.Boston is too cold an sacremento may be too boring( I don't know , just guess, it sounds likea boring place).

SF should be good if you earn good enough and maybe you have more chances.If you definitely like a nice weather and an active city you may want to go there. If you are single, you may go to CA other than TX, I think in TX you won't meet as much Chinese as in CA though maybe more Male than female at CA. it has both sea and moutain and lake tahoe, yomesite etc very close and lots of fruits, nice weather......Closer to China, don't need to change air plane.Parents coming will like SF too because they can easily find many Chinese old people around, for other cities it may be like in Jail for them...

Austin is good too if you like the weather, the house is cheap, school district is good.....If you have a family and both of you like there, it could be good for you. with 100K, only one person needs to work in TX, and enjoy a big house in TX the school district is good, in CA even the school district is not as good as in TX, the house price can be easily over $1 million for a old and small one while in TX $200k can get you a big and brand new 4-5 bedroom 3000 square foot house.

San Diego is a good place too. It has sea and moustain and close to LA , you can go to skii and snorkeling and ...
