是不是：即使到了那个日期没批下来， OPT也算开始了？ 有没有身份问题吧？

How long have you been waiting? It is suggested to apply for OPT 4 months before you graduate and set the activating date at no later than two months after graduation. I heard it takes 1.5 months to get the EAD card on average but it could take everywhere between 1-3 months. I think you can check with the International student office on campus first.

比如你毕业是2005年1月15日，但申请2005年2月20日起opt生效，那么从2月20日倒数120天，从这天开始生效，而不是1月15日倒数120天。
