OFFER LETTER都签了,就是还没交H1B PETITION,公司会收回OFFER吗?
我的OPT到明年9/26到期,能不能和公司NEGOTIATE, and how to negotiate on such kind of issue? anyone has the experience? thanks.

另外,为什么公司要求提出H1B申请才让我开始工作呢?不是可以用OPT工作吗? Do big
companies always have such policy that international employee can be added
into the payroll only after their h-1 petitions have been submitted? do I
still stand a chance of arguing on this?

If i were you, i would not tell employer about this problem. from 09/26 to 10/01 is not a big deal. You will be fine.

It is recommend to start OPT after 10/01. Start H1-B application as early as possible.

Well, there could be legal issues in this case. Better check with ur lawyer to find out.

Even if you take vacations for those five days, you still get paid.

=> American may not understand opt etc. u can just explain to them that you've got one year work permit in hand. You only need H1 from next Oct.

I guess the major concern is I-9 form. OPT will allow you work for a year for sure. Somebody from HR did not understand.
