I personally believe that mailing thank you card is better than sending thank you email, the former one is more impressive.
If you're meeting several ppl in the interview, try to pay attention to and remember some details about each people, i.e., sth. special that somebody said and did. Then you'll have different things to say in the thank you note to different interviewer. If you're sending thank you cards, it might be possible that the interviewers will get together and compare the thank you note they get. If you just write the same words to the manager, tech. people and the secretary, the interviewers might think you're just 例行公事ing. Otherwise, people might think that you're detail oriented and considerable.
