好消息还是坏消息？I know most of people get the I485 approved without interview. In what situation, the local INS will schedule an interview?

Employment based or relative based?
Prepare for a local interview if the case has been transfered to local. I have heard over 90% of NIW has been transfered. I guess the reason is that they need the current employment status since most NIW filer were students and the employment information as well as W2 are insufficient.

It's a NIW case. NIW is not employment based, why they need current employment information?

I remeber you applied for NIW before, did you get a local interview? what's that about?

My case is pending at VSC review still. RD=05/03. Waiting for tranfer. The good news is that they did speed up the processing. We are among the least lucky group.

Speaking for recent years, I485 needs go to local INS after it approved at a service center. A local INS office will interview you to verify you info and your application are matched. At that time, he/she will give you the real approval.
This is not good news or bad news, the procedure is normal to me.

PS. I am spoken for Relative based... not sure if NIW is different.

How do you know you are the least lucky group? Because I want to know if we are. :)

看到一个人在第四次申请EAD, 空前是绝对没有问题的, 绝后我看也差不多了.

My friend in Boston just got his NIW approved recently. The receipt date is pretty close to yours. Good luck!

I485 interview is required for family based, but not necessary for employment based.

Thank you. That is really good news. The LUD of my case keep changing recently. While, almost every NIW case i heard from my friend need an interview at local.

It's a good sign they are touching your case. You should know the result pretty soon. Our 140 case was approved 15 days after the LUD.

My LUD changed on 07/28, 07/29, 08/11, 08/12, without any update. I guess a result of transferal or approval will come out soon.
