If your resume and cover letter make the first round of cuts you are usually contacted for a phone interview. (说明你不赖啊，人家对你感兴趣了)

This may be with a single person, or with an entire search committee via a speakerphone (complete with echoes, feedback, and not being able to tell who is talking - do your best to remain patient and professional with any possible technical difficulties).

During the phone and in-person interviews you are usually presented with a standard set of questions asked to all candidates. See The 10 Toughest Job Interview Questions for some tricky examples. (你申请的是INTERN，但我想问题总还是大同小异的。)

1. Why are you seeking this employment?
2. Where do you see yourself in 5 (or 10) years?
3. Why should we hire you?
4. What are your weaknesses?
5. What are your salary expectations?
6. How did you get along with your last boss?
7. Why do you want this job?
8. What are your strengths?
9. Tell me something about yourself.
10. Do you have any questions?

When you are given the opportunity to ask questions, take advantage of it. This is your best chance at showing your interest in the position, and gathering information for deciding if you want the job. Some of the topics you should be clear on by the end of a phone interview are: (准备一些自己想问的问题喽)

Why is this position open?
What is your interviewing/hiring time line (and procedure)?
When can I expect to hear back from you?
Please describe the organizational structure of the company, and where I would fit in it. Who all would I be reporting to, and who would report to me?
Tell me more about the position and it’s duties.
What types of clientele would I be serving, and how?
What are you looking for in a candidate?
What are some of the challenging and exciting projects that the person in this position will be tackling (both short term and long term)?

Try to get in as many of these questions as you can, but keep in mind that the primary purpose of the phone interview is to select candidates for the next round of interviews.

差不多都这样的,如果时间越长说明他们对你越感兴趣,高兴还来不及呢.

我觉得intern的phone interview其实主要是chat, 一般都是他们基本上已经决定要你了，来和你随便聊一聊。我的就是这样的，对方一个劲儿劝我去。所以，不用紧张。good luck!

you have to be calm, otherwise you will not be yourself. just concentrate on what he says and try to organize your words before you say it.
Oh, do some research about the company so you can have some questions for them at the end.

我觉得要把job description 看熟,把可能问的问题都想一下. 把自己resume上做过的project写一个description看熟以防别人问detail.

我有HR和tech的人一起上的经验.tech的人问reume上的东西很仔细,(我是Ph.D.),HR很好应付.我就很后悔没有认真准备技术问题.

对自己的resume一定要非常熟悉，一般公司会问到很多有关问题。再建议MM去monster看看，上面有些基本的面试问题和回答。总之做好充分准备，放轻松，就把这看做是练兵，你就不会太紧张了，加油
